We live in a generation where Internet becomes the new member of our family. There are so many sources are available for using internet, And PC, Laptop and Smartphones are the most usable sources from them. Mostly we preferred a wired landline connectivity or Data card for using internet on PC or laptops. But did you ever try to use the internet connection of your PC as a WiFi? I know it’s confusing so let’s make it easy, imagine that you are using internet on your PC by a landline wired internet connection, but at the same time you want to use it on your mobile, so what you gonna do?
So there is no need to worry because this is possible and that’s we can call sharing the Ethernet As WiFi. There is not a direct option enable it so you have to use command prompt and follow few simple steps and you can easily share your Ethernet as a WiFi.
Using Ethernet As WiFi Connection with CMD
There are few more ways to enable this but without any third-party app this is the best way to do this. So let’s start with…
Step 1 – Go to the notification panel and enable your WiFi by clicking on the WiFi icon.
Step 2 – Now open the Command Prompt admin. There is two process for this..
(A) You can easily open this by press Windows key + X and select the command prompt admin.
(B) Press window+R and then type CMD, it shows you many options then scroll down and select command prompt admin.
Step 4 – Now type “netsh wlan set hostednetwork” mode=allow ssid=Id key=password.” In front of ssid where i typed “id” you can type name or id for your WiFi host and in front of key where i typed “password” you can type any password for securing your WiFi networks.
Step 5 – So the work of command prompt ends here, now time for some configuration.
Step 7 – Here you can find name of your network connection so right click on your currently using internet connection and select the “Properties” option.
Step 8 – There is tab called “sharing” and under this you can find a check box “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection” , so click on that box.
Step 9 – Here a drop down box also, select the recently created WiFi connection from this.
Step 10 – Now click on “OK”, it will enable all the setting.
